Since 1980 at the old Army Finance and Accounting Center in Indianapolis to many other locations from Zagreb, Croatia to the Peace Corps Headquarters in Washington, I worked with my friend Michael. Always struck by his extreme intelligence, quick humor and ability to seek the best solution to issues for Federal Agencies, it was easy to work with Michael. I really know no good words to say at this time, and it is so sad to say goodbye. My very best to all in the family. May Michael rest in peace among the fallen heroes in the Arlington cemetery.

Wendy and I send our heartfelt sorry to the family for the passing of Michael. I knew Michael as a fellow Finance Corps officer in the U.S. Army starting back in the 1980's. I've also had the privilege of working with him over the last few years as an instructor for his appropriations law classes. Michael was a very gentle spirit with exceptional knowledge and professional management and performance. He'll be missed by the thousands of those he touched through his classes and his relationships.
