Nicholas Asuncion White, 19, passed away on October 17, 2021, at his home in Arlington, VA. Nicholas was born in Fairfax County on April 20, 2002, and is survived by his loving and dedicated family, including his father, Lee White; his mother, Diane Asuncion; his brother, Nat White; his grandparents, Hermie and Norma Asuncion; his tita, Melissa Coker, and uncle, Seth; his uncle, Mike Asuncion, and tita, Marjorie; his aunt, Patti Lynch; his uncle, John “Foxie” Connell; his 10 cousins and their families; and the Phillips family. Nicholas is predeceased by his grandparents, Joe and Marion White; his Uncle,Tom Lynch; and his aunt, Nancy Connell.
Nicholas attended The Eunice Kennedy Shriver Program in Arlington, VA Public Schools.
Nicholas was an avid Bear in the Big Blue House fan, and loved spending time at Jill’s House—his home away from home—where he enjoyed weekend trips filled with specially designed games and activities. Nick’s boisterous, belly laughs were so infectious that everyone around him participated in his hysterics! He brought great joy to everyone whose life he touched.
Memorial Services will be held at Murphy Funeral Home of Arlington on Saturday, November 6 at 11am, with a gathering and reception to follow. Services will be live-streamed for those who cannot attend in person.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jill’s House (www.jillshouse.org) in memoriam of Nicholas Asuncion White. Jill’s House provides weekend respite care for the parents of children with disabilities throughout Northern Virginia.
