Patricia Brainard Dinan

Patricia (Pat) Brainard Dinan of Arlington, Virginia passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, after a short illness. Born in New Haven, Connecticut on September 6, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Theresa Brainard. Pat attended Beaver College for Women in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania and graduated from Traphagen School of Design in New York City.

She was preceded in death by Daniel James Dinan, her beloved husband of 59 years. She is survived by her sons Kevin Dinan and James Dinan; her daughters-in-law, Christen Dinan and Monica Dinan; her grandchildren, Matthew Dinan, Kaitlin Dinan Kimball, Stephanie Dinan, Casey Dinan, and Tyler Dinan; and her great grandchildren Teddy Dinan, Emelyn Kimball, Jesse Kimball, and Annie Dinan. Along with her family, Pat’s greatest joys were reading and spending time at her second home in Vermont.

There will be a memorial visitation on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Murphy’s Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, Virginia 22203. Interment will be private.
