Patricia Ann Williamson

Pat was born January 3, 1949 in Alexandria, Virginia, the daughter of Bernice Jo (nee Jennings) and Howard Lee Williamson, Jr.

Pat met Ken Edwards in 1970 at work. Pat was a secretary and Ken was enamored immediately and they’ve been together ever since. They were married on July 15, 1980. They welcomed their two children Samuel and Daniel and raised their beautiful family in Arlington.

Pat was the facilities manager and director of administrative services at WETA for over 40 years, helping bring public broadcasting to greater Washington. She retired in 2020.

Pat especially loved spending time outside with friends and family, particularly swimming at the pool, walking anywhere and everywhere, and enjoying our local plants and animals. She was a world traveler, and enjoyed learning about others’ cultures and customs.

Pat was a long time member and volunteer at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington. She was also an avid volunteer at the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC). She had a strong desire to help others and used her time to volunteer at her polling place and help feed others in need. She was never afraid to use her voice for others who had none.

Pat was a friend to all. She never hesitated to strike up conversation with friends or strangers alike. Remaining to cherish Pat’s memory are her husband, Ken Edwards, children Samuel (Kristen) Edwards and Daniel (Consuelo) Edwards, grandchildren Owen and Brooklyn, brother Harry Williamson, nephew Jason and niece Christina.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, February 23rd, 2025 at UUCA (the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington) at 2:00pm. UUCA’s address is 4444 Arlington Blvd, Arlington, VA 22204.
