

Patrick David Blanco, age 62 of Arlington, Virginia, passed away on April 7, 2022 at Mary Marshall Assisted Living Residence. Patrick was born on September 19, 1959 in Washington, DC to David and Mary Frances Blanco. Patrick was a proud life-long resident of Arlington County, attending Barrett Elementary, Kenmore Jr. High, Swanson Intermediate and W-L High Schools.
An avid guitar player, XBOX gamer who also enjoyed watching old time TV shows from the 1960's and classic comedies from the 1980's. He was a regular at the Arlington County based Clarendon House, where he enjoyed many activities including learning programs, answering phones, and helping staff with daily activities.
For many years Patrick was also part of the CRi community for people with developmental disabilities and mental health needs, residing at their 13th Street house. Patrick was a loving and kind person who was very close to his family and will be greatly missed. He enjoyed spending time with his family running errands, eating out, and holiday gatherings. He loved animals and a good laugh with friends or family.
At Mary Marshall he enjoyed hanging out with the other residents, joking around with staff, going on outing to Target, and attending prayer group. Patrick is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Frances Blanco and father, David Blanco. He is survived by his sister Mary Adelaide Miller (Thomas), brother Matthew Watts Blanco (John VanBerkom), niece Michelle Moran Miller (Stephanie) and nephew Kevin David Miller.
Patrick will be buried at Arlington National Cemtery to join his parents on November 15th, 2022. There will be a service at the Old Post Chapel at 2:45pm. Those who wish to atend must arrive an hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patrick's name to CRi or Volunteers of America (Mary Marshall Assisted Living Residence).
