

He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Baney Duda, parents, Andrew and Mary Duda, brothers, John Duda, Andrew Duda and Joseph Duda and sister, Eleanor Buxton. A sister, Constance O’Grady and thirteen nieces and nephews survive him.
Mr. Duda was born in New Castle, PA in 1927. He served in the U.S. Navy and subsequently graduated from George Washington University. He lived the majority of his life in Northern Virginia. During his professional career, he worked as a staff member for the U.S. House of Representatives and was an accountant for both United States and District of Columbia governmental agencies.
He was married to Elizabeth Baney on July 11, 1970. They both loved to travel and did so often.
Mr. Duda was a member of St. Thomas More Cathedral in Arlington, VA and served as an usher for many years. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved to listen to swing and big band music and read books.
There will be a public viewing on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Murphy Funeral Home located at 4510 Wilson Blvd in Arlington, VA. A funeral mass will follow at St. James Catholic Church at 1 pm in Falls Church, VA.
Mr. Duda will be laid to rest on December 2, 2015 at 12:00 pm at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Alexandria, VA.
