Born September 18,1959 in Boston, Massachusetts and died January 20, 2019 in Arlington, Virginia. He attended St. Stephens School in Alexandria, VA and studied at the University of Vermont. As the son of a military family, he lived in many States but returned often to one of his favorite places, the family home on Deep Creek Lake in Western Maryland. Perry worked in the Commercial Construction business in the DC metro area for many decades and achieved great success with his innate engineering talent and work ethic that became well known to all.
An accomplished athlete, Perry was named an Outstanding Football Player his senior year at Fort Knox High School in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He greatly enjoyed skiing, baseball, spending time with his family, and was a lifelong fan of the Redskins and Nationals.
Perry's smile and heart will be remembered by all who knew him. He is survived by his mother Constance, brothers Bill, Philip, Dean and his partner Tracy Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father, Major General Joseph Franklin.
There will be a gathering to pay respects on Sunday, February 3, from 12 Noon to 3 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd. in Arlington, VA.
