Robert Anthony Dodd

Of Fairfax, VA passed away suddenly at his home in Fairfax on Friday September 27, 2013. He was Chief Financial Officer for The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy in Washington, DC. Bob was born in Washington, DC and raised in nearby Arlington, VA. He received his B.S. in Accounting from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA and his Master's in Journalism from the American University in Washington, DC.

Bob began his career working as a disc jockey at nightclubs in DC and Northern VA and after earning his CPA degree, worked with Arthur Andersen Consulting on assignments worldwide. Bob enjoyed rock music, reading, Redskins football, traveling to exotic locales and spending time with his family and friends. He was also a great lover of animals, especially his long time cocker spaniel companion "Mocha".

His lifelong spiritual journey recently led him back to his Catholic Church roots and he had just completed an Emmaus retreat with his brother Richard in Orlando, FL. prior to his passing, where the power of the Holy Spirit had begun to move him in a new direction.

Bob had a great sense of humor and a quick wit that brought smiles to the faces of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by all his friends and his immediate family of Vivi and daughter Chanel Nguyen and his brothers, Richard Dodd (Kim), John Dodd (Delilah) and Eddy Dodd and sisters Anna Marie MacArthur (Chris), Jeannie Dodd and Mary Dodd.
