Robert “Bob” Woosley passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2013, in Arlington, Virginia. He was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania on January 4, 1947 and relocated to Arlington in 1979. Robert was the son of Leonard and Ruth Woosley and leaves behind one sister, Mary, her husband Cyril Pruszko, two nieces Lauri Hmel and Elizabeth Steininger and two great nieces Teagan and Ainsley Hmel.
Robert spent nearly 30 years working for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing at the U.S. Department of Treasury before retiring in 2011. Since his retirement, he was living at the Mary Marshall Assisted Living Home in Arlington, VA. Over the years, he has been an active member of the community through his involvement in the Bethel United Church of Christ.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, May 11, at Bethel United Church of Christ in Arlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Bethel United Church of Christ.
