Ruth D. Barker died in her Arlington apartment on or about 25 May 2011 of an apparent heart attack. She was 79. A sister, Katherine Barker McClenon, predeceased her. She is survived by two nephews, Robert McClenon, of Washington, and Charles McClenon, of Austin, TX, and a niece, Carol McClenon, of Baltimore. A memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 2609 N. Glebe Road, Arlington, VA, at 10 am on Saturday, June 18. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
