These photos are from 2017. You always stopped by to say hello and visit with Nico. He loved seeing you and often asked if you were coming. Sometimes we stood outside on the driveway to watch for your work van. We think of you often, my friend.

I was absolutely stunned and shocked to hear, last week,  of Todd’s untimely passing. 

Like so many others, Todd came into my life as a contractor; he remodeled my home after the unexpected passing of my  husband 2.5 years ago, who was, eerily enough, 52 when *he* passed - also too young. 

But Todd and I became fast friends, and had a relationship similar to that of siblings. He knew how important the remodel was to me as a way to rebuild my life, and poured himself into it. He became friends with many of my friends, and adored my dog, referring to himself as “Uncle Todd.”

As others have noted, it is difficult to imagine Todd, with his vitality and joy of life, no longer having a physical presence here. But I am convinced that his spirit is very much alive; I can feel it. 

If you, his family and loved ones, read this, please know how greatly Todd touched the lives of those he met - every single one of us. He was, is, and will always be, much loved. 

I just found out today about Todd’s passing (I hate that word). I’m in town from my home in Florida and was meeting with Roberto, who lead one of Todd’s construction crews. Todd remodeled my daughter’s condo last November, and because of the pandemic it’s my first visit here. I’m stunned and so saddened. Todd was so alive! And so full of charity and grace. My best thoughts go out to Tony and his family.

Like so many others, we are shocked and saddened to lose a friend so full of life. We met Todd in the Palisades in 2012, and he quickly became part of our family. As he helped renovate two houses, he always approached every task with a can-do attitude, an adventurous spirit and plenty of laughter. He never took himself or life too seriously.
We reach out to Tony and his family in their loss. We will miss you Todd.

A kind and lovely man. I  have enjoyed very much knowing Todd and working with him. The first time I  met at the end of our meeting he grabbed me gave me a hug and said I  quote "Yes I  am a hugger you have to get used to it"

I thought it was so spontaneous and genuine. That speaks volume about who he was. An authentic, loving, happy person

To Todd’s parents, Tony, and Todd’s family, I offer my sincere condolences.  Todd and I considered that he was my “adopted” son; always there to share the good and bad times.  It must be unusual that after 25 years of friendship, I cannot recall a serious disagreement with him which speaks to his humor, acceptance of and respect for others.   We met through my son who became one of Todd’s life-long friends.  I miss Todd now and always will.   It is comforting to know that what life gives us is forever with us through memories.  Thank you Todd for leaving me so many happy forever memories.  

I am literally at a loss for words, and can’t seem to even wrap my head around your passing! You were such a great person, and one of our best family friends! You always saw the good in every individual you came across throughout life. Always giving them the benefit of the doubt, even when they ended up not being the good person you  thought they were! So quick to help anyone in need, and a true inspiration to all who had the privilege of having you in their life! This loss is an absolute devastation to our family! We admired you for so many things, but most of all we admired you for the real and true human being that you were! This world really lost something special when it lost you! You were a beautiful and amazing person! We will forever hold you and the memories we have of you in our hearts forever. You are going to truly be missed! We are without words, in compete shock. We just heard today that our dear old friend has passed.  We have known Todd for over 1 0 years. He’s been a regular part of our son’s life for the past 6 years. Nico always had a big smile for Todd whenever Todd came to visit; bringing cake pops and coffee.  He painted our house last year and we got to see him regularly.  My heart goes out to his parents, and Tony (whom we never had the pleasure of meeting even though we kept inviting them both to dinner).  I have no words. We are in the dark as to what happened.  We haven’t seen or talked with him since mid April.  We will miss you terribly my friend. May you Rest In Peace.

I am so sorry to hear about Todd's passing. In the past years I worked with him on several projects that he was building and that I designed. He was such a lovely , funny , hardworking man. Always full of stories and always with such lovely stories about Tony, whom I never met, but I was looking forward to meeting some day. I am sending Tony and Todd's family and friends love and strength and know that he was adored by many. I will miss him greatly.

I met Todd at a Servpro training class.  We studied together and just became lifelong friends.  I am so very sad to hear of his passing.  I honor his memory with you and pray his transition is easy.  God bless his family, he was a very kind, sweet man, he will be missed.  

We are so sorry about Todd's sudden and unexpected passing.  He was our delightful neighbor for more than 7 years.  We have always thought the world of him.   Anytime we asked, he was always ready to help us solve structural  problems with our home.  We will always remember him as a great and helpful neighbor and a fun person at the many social functions all three of us attended.   May he rest in peace.

I want to express my heartfelt condolences to Todd's family. I met Todd when he joined the Rotary Club of Dunn Loring-Merrifield.  Todd proved to be an outstanding Rotarian, using both his talents and personality to support our clubs various service projects.  He truly lived his life and in so many ways demonstrated his belief in the Rotary Motto, "Service Above Self."  We are all sorrowed by his life having been unexpectedly cut short.  

Todd was a member of the Dunn Loring-Merrifield Rotary Club of which I am President this year.  It is with great sadness that my wife and I heard that Todd had passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last week.  

Todd was an unique individual who exhibited a positive and courageous outlook on life.  He had a willingness to go the extra mile to help others, which was evident in his relationships, his kindness to others, and his outgoing personality.  An example of this was his and Tony's devoted faithfulness in helping  another member of our Club, Archibald (Trey) Reid, through his terminal illness, which was impressive and a true indication of Todd's character.  These traits, as well as his business acumen, were very much appreciated in the club.  

My wife and I were looking forward to spending more time with Todd and Tony as they now had more free time and as the pandemic diminished.  Alas, it is not to be.

I wish I could be at the viewing to express my condolences in person, but I have been advised that with my own underlying health problems that would not be wise.  So please accept that my wife and I---and the members of the Rotary Club of Dunn Loring-Merrifield---want Tony and Todd's family and friends to know we will miss Todd and extend our sincere condolences to all that loved him so well.
