Virginia Foley Morris – Mom, Mimi, Ginny -died Saturday, January 10, 2015. Ginny was raised in Silver Spring, Maryland but made Arlington, Virginia her home for over four decades. Ginny had an adventurous spirit: organizing wacky parties and family Foley Fests. She loved to travel, her camera always at the ready. She made friends easily and held onto them forever. Ginny was the one in the big hat enjoying the sun. She organized high school reunions, PTA fundraisers and was the person who delivered a cake to your doorstep when things weren’t going well. She made sure she stayed in touch. She devoured books and loved good food. Ginny lived.
She met her death with grace and dignity, at home with her family. Ginny is survived by her husband Ernie Morris; her granddaughters Maya Virginia and Jamison Grace; her children Richard Day, Stephanie Day Banton and Timothy Day and her son-in-law Richard Banton; her step-children Cindy Perry, Ernie Morris and David Morris. In her death, she joins her much-loved father James Foley.
