Charles “Dick” Richard Lindborg, 81, passed away August 22, 2013 in Everett, WA. He was born to Fred and Nellie Lindborg June 15, 1932 in Lake Stevens, WA. Dick grew up on Getchell hill, going to Getchell School and graduating from Marysville High School in 1950. He then served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Returning home Dick worked for contractor Gene Robertson for many years as a cabinet maker and carpenter. Leaving there he became a truck and heavy equipment mechanic before going back to his favorite profession of carpentry as he started his own company Dick Lindborg Construction. Dick enjoyed woodworking, NASCAR and sprint car racing as his hobbies. He was a much loved man by family and friends. Preceding him in death were his four brothers, two sisters and daughter Cheryl. Surviving Dick is his loving wife Audrey; children, Janet (Rene) Decoteau, Teri (Brad) Savinski, Guy (Lori) Lindborg; step-children, Jim (Deanna) Reischman, Tim Reischman, Dave (Elizabeth) Reischman, Jane (Brett) Blacker, 7 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 10 great-granddaughters with 2 more on the way, many nieces and nephews and his two walking partners Bubba and Willie. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 29, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at Weller Funeral Home, 327 N. MacLeod Ave., Arlington WA, 98223.
