Edward Erwin Reinke

Edward Erwin Reinke, 93, passed away July 23, 2011 in Tacoma, WA. He was born to Edward and Calla Reinke Sr. March 6, 2018 in Minneapolis, MN. Ed graduated from Ballard High School in Seattle, WA in 1936. He worked in telecommunications becoming a managing engineer, retiring after 36 years in 1976. Ed enjoyed amateur (ham) radio, music (flute and keyboards), hiking, hunting, target shooting, photography, math and physics. Preceding him in death were his wives; Catherine Orth, Wilma Reinke, son John Reinke in 2006 and brother Richard D. Reinke, who was killed in action during WWII in the Pacific on Palaui. Ed is survived by his children; Richard Reinke of France, Steve Reinke of Thorp, WA, Diana Driscoll of Manhattan Beach, CA, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 29, 2011, 3:30 p.m. at Point Defiance Village, 6414 N. Park Way, Tacoma, WA 98407. A graveside inurnment will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011, 2 p.m. at Arlington Municipal Cemetery, 20310 67th Ave. NE, Arlington, WA 98223.
