

Jack Richard Blomster, 86, passed away July 5, 2013 in Arlington, WA. He was born to John and Aleda Blomster November 11, 1926 in Superior Wisconsin. Jack enlisted in the U.S. Navy at 17 in 1944 and served during World War II aboard a LST. After the war he worked for Puget Sound Energy retiring in 1985 after 38 years of service. Jack was very active in the Kirkland, WA community serving many roles in Little League and Lion’s Club and Toastmasters. He had a wonderful dry sense of humor and was witty and caring. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Shirley Blomster of Arlington; sons, Thomas (Rebecca) Blomster of Arlington, John (Sheree) Blomster of Bellingham, WA; grandchildren, Daniel Blomster, Thomas Blomster Jr., Katie (Jerad) Park, Christie Blomster, brother Robert (Patricia) Blomster of Bothell, WA and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at the family residence, Tuesday, July 9, 2013, 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association (donate.americanheart.org).
