When Janice was young, she learned ballet and tap dance. In her adult years she taught the neighborhood children to do ballet and tap.
Robert Henry Miller and Janice were married on May 1, 1954, and enjoyed 58 years together until his passing in 2012. Janice and Bob owned an 18-acre farm in Darrington where they raised cattle and pigs and sold the butchered meat. They also raised milking cows and sold the milk.
Janice was a “stay at home” wife and mother and was strongly independent and steadfast in her beliefs. Over the years, Janice immersed herself in scrapbooking, sewing, gardening and canning. She loved Country music and her favorite artist was Willie Nelson. In later years she worked on developing genealogies for her family.
Janice leaves behind her 3 children; Lanay Petker (Mike), Robert Kevin Miller (Sarah) and Michael Henry Miller (Gwen). She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren; James Petker, Josh Petker, Mikayla Petker, Aida Miller, Forrest Miller, Thomas Miller and Breanna Swanson. Her 6 great grandchildren are: Wyatt, Sawyer, Tanner, Charlie, Brooklyn and Vivian.
Janice will be laid to rest with her husband in a private family graveside service to be held at the Darrington Cemetery.
