Kathrine Irene Hargrove was born to Jack and Mamie Gray on November 4, 1949 in Douglas, Arizona. Kathy, also known as “Kat”, was married to Michael C. Hargrove and lived in Marysville WA. April 29, 2019 would have been their 36th year anniversary. Kat had 2 older sisters, Marian “Bosie” who passed away, and Mary Alice “Aunt Mouse”, who currently lives in Arizona with her husband Fred Quinn. Kat is also survived by her son Troy St. John, her daughter Tiffany St. John , and her grandchildren; Damani St. John (21), Genevieve Estill (14), Austin St. John (13), Guiliana St. John (8), and Jackson St. John (4). She also adored her 3 fur babies that she shared with Mike, they are Bubba, Chiquita, and Duke.
Kat and her creative spirit loved gardening, camping, painting rocks or whatever she could get her hands on. She loved all native culture and was influenced by her Cherokee ancestry. Kat was the life of the party, she loved to dance & drink her spirits and made everyone smile around her. She loved holidays, especially Halloween when she could decorate and dress up. She loved her horror movies and her scary novels.
Mike said “No matter how mad Kathy got at me she always made me dinner, and she was mad at me a lot.” Her favorite saying was always “Mangia Mangia”, which means “lets eat” in Italian. Unfortunately, she was taken from us by Cancer on April 7th 2019. Kat was very stubborn and fought like the feisty Italian lady she was till the very end.
Lets celebrate her life today, as we are all here together for her.
