
Kenneth John Countryman Sr. was born February 17, 1939 to Oliver and June Countryman in Arlington, WA and passed away December 20, 2023. Kenny had two brothers Richard and Leroy Countryman and two sisters Patty Woods and Linda Sorenson. Kenny served in the US Navy as a Seabee and was honorably discharged. He returned to Arlington where he met the love of his life Shirley Mortenson at the Fountain Drive In where she worked. Kenny and Shirley were married in August of 1960 and along with daughter Cristy and son Ken Jr became a family. Their son Randy was born in October of 1962 and made their family complete. Over the years Kenny and Shirley owned and operated Tip Top Service Station, Tip Top Towing, KJ Countryman and Sons Trucking and Countryman Collectibles. Kenny and Shirley spent many summers making memories with their kids, grandkids, family and friends at their cabin on Lake Cavanaugh. Kenny had a love for all things Chevrolet and had quite the collection of old cars that brought them many lifelong friends. They spent many summers traveling to car shows with their family and friends. Kenny could make a friend anywhere he went, and in fact he did just that. Kenny is survived by his loving wife Shirley, daughter Cristy (Tony), Ken Jr (Beth) and Randy (Mary) 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren along with his sisters Patty Wood and Linda Sorenson, all of whom will treasure his memory. The family would like to thank lifelong friends, the Giebel Family for their never-ending love and support. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
