Ken Gegner, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, peacefully left this world on March 2, 2026. Born on July 27, 1961, in Lynnwood, WA, Ken was a beacon of warmth, kindness, and unwavering integrity throughout his 64 years—a life lived fully, with purpose and a heart open to everyone
On January 17, 1987, Ken married the love of his life, Terry. Together, they celebrated 39 years of marriage, a partnership marked by devotion, shared faith, and the joy of raising a family. Ken is survived by his devoted wife, Terry; his children, Matt (Rachel), Jen (Dustin), and Christine; and his four precious grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
A proud veteran, Ken served his country with honor in the United States Marine Corps. His sense of duty and commitment to others extended beyond his military service to anyone he met. Deeply rooted in faith, Ken was a member of the Snohomish Community Church, where he served as an Awana Commander and participated in many youth activities, always leading by example. His dedication to serving the Lord was evident in all he said and did.
Ken’s passions were as diverse as they were fervent. He found solace and freedom on the open road, riding his motorcycle with the wind in his face. He cherished his annual fishing trips to Ross Lake where he felt the peace of the world around him. Those who knew Ken will fondly remember him for his unparalleled love of people, his honesty, and his famous ability to give the best hugs. He lived by the mantra, "It’s not over when you lose, it’s over when you quit," a testament to his resilient spirit and unwavering determination. Ken did not quit this life; instead, God called him home when his mission was complete.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have shared in Ken's journey, honoring his memory and celebrating a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Ken's name to organizations supporting children, reflecting his enduring commitment to nurturing future generations. One that was dear to his heart is Cocoon House.
Ken Gegner's life was a tapestry of love, service, and adventure, woven together by the relationships he cherished and the communities he served. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who follow in his footsteps.
