Linda Kay Cope was born April 4th, 1950 in Worthington, Minnesota. She passed away peacefully on October 20th, 2021. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Puget Sound Kidney Center in Smokey Point and Skagit Valley Hospital for the love and care they showed their mom and gram.
Linda was born to James and Agnes Burns. She had 9 siblings and was always referred to as the baby of the family, whether she liked it or not! Linda grew up in the small town of Brewster and graduated from Worthington High School. She got married to John Zeiner and they had 3 children together: Jeffrey, Julie, and Amy.
Linda eventually remarried to Lewis Cope and relocated to Darrington, Washington. It is here where she found her happy place to call home. Mostly because both her daughters and 4 granddaughters lived here and they were able to create so many wonderful memories together.
Linda worked as a cashier for Lowe's and retired in 2020. She enjoyed many hobbies such as reading books, doing Sudoku puzzles, playing games on her Kindle, gardening, and supporting her grandkids in all of their sports and other activities. Linda loved animals and lived for her two dachshund boys, Gunnie and Scout—otherwise known as "the boys".
Linda is survived by her daughters, Julie Monteith (Chad), and Amy Coggins (Jeff); her granddaughters, Brooke Monteith, Breanna Monteith, Kayley Coggins, and Kelsey Coggins; her sisters, Carol Fauglid and Janet Jacobsen (Roger); her sisters-in-law, Garnet Burns and Betty Burns; her brother-in-law, Bill Burmeister, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, Jeff; both parents; her siblings, Marcella Burns, Arlene Burns, Gene Burns, Lois Kirchner (Joe), Don Burns, Marlys Burmeister, and Darlene Kremer; and her great-nephew Gavin Kruse.
