Martha Katrine (Megaard) Jess died peacefully January 11, 2017 in Arlington Washington. She was born November 16, 1920 at home in Bryant Washington to Edward and Johanna Megaard. She graduated Arlington High School, Class of 1938.
Martha started her working career at Seattle Auto Freight, and later became a successful real estate agent and broker. She spent her retirement years as she spent her youth, taking care of a small farm in Bothell with her husband Sidney Jess who preceded her in death.
Martha was one of seven children. She was preceded in death by Agnes Ovenell, Edward Megaard, Henry Megaard and Martin Megaard. She is survived by Jeannette Smith, Katherine Speer and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Weller Funeral Home in Arlington, Washington at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 21. Remembrances should be sent to the charity of your choice.
