Mary Marlene Schmitt

She was born June 4, 1951 to Donna (Huntington) and Donald Schmitt in Spokane, WA. Mary grew up in Yakima, WA and attended St. Paul's School and Central Catholic High School. Mary Graduated from Carroll High School in 1969. She treasured her school friendships her entire life.

In April 1970 she married Patrick Kelsey, and they had a beautiful daughter Michelle Marie (Kelsey) Lomont. She was the sunshine of their lives.

Mary had various jobs including as a certified nurses aid. She related well to the elderly and always had a special place in her heart for them.

Later Mary married Doug Ownby for a few years.

Later, Mary relocated to Arlington, WA. to be closer to her daughter.

Mary adored her grandchildren Ashley, Jacob and Ridge, and her great granddaughter Sophia.

She always looked forward to her time with her family.

She was blessed with her father in God. She will be missed (BUT NOT FORGOTTEN) for her smile and great sense of humor.

Mary was proceeded in death by her mother Donna (Huntington) Schmitt.

She is survived by her father, Donald J. Schmitt, sibling Marc, Patti (Steve) Alegria, Don A. (Polli) Schmitt, Joe, Theresa (Dennis) Hoff, Ginnie (David) Alegria, and Wayne, 25 nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday June 14, 2016 at 11:00 am at the St. Paul's Chapel, Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
