The youngest daughter of Chester Arthur Rose and Elaine Gertrude Edly Lamb, she was born in Minnesota on April 22, 1938. When she was only four years old, her family moved out west to the Seattle area.
Nancy graduated from Ballard High School, where she had been on the Honor Roll, in 1956. Shortly after graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Bernard A. “Bernie” Desrosier, on July 6, 1956, in Seattle, Washington. They had four children.
She began working in nursing in the mid-1970s. In the late 1980s, she attended Everett Community College and obtained a nursing degree. Unsurprisingly, Nancy had a longstanding reputation as the trusted medical expert in her family.
Nancy was also a voracious reader, a highly skilled cook, and a baseball fan. She prided herself on keeping an immaculately clean, beautifully decorated home. Grandma Nancy doted on her five grandchildren, and bought them so many wonderful presents over the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernie; her sister, Ladonna “Donna” Gollofon; her eldest daughter Nancy Jo Smedberg; and her son-in-law Richard John Williamson III. Nancy will be truly and deeply missed by her sister Judy Doucette; her sons Steven (Debbi) Desrosier and Bradley Desrosier; her daughter Wendy Jo Williamson; her grandchildren Juliana Smedberg, Kathryn Desrosier, Sarah Desrosier, Jeffrey Desrosier, and Kae-Leah Williamson; her great-grandson Brandon Markley; her son-in-law Loren Smedberg; good friend Laura Broomer; and many nieces, nephews, friends, in-laws, and cousins.
