

Patricia (McCann) Manning passed away peacefully March 3rd. She lived a life of grace and dignity and was much loved by all who knew her. Patricia was born in Seattle Washington to Leona and Walter McCann. She was an only child and was adored by a large extended family. She spent summers with her beloved aunts and uncles and had many fond memories of those times. She attended Holy Names Academy and graduated from Lincoln High School in Seattle. She then attended Seattle University where she met her husband, James McAuliffe. Together they had seven children. She was a loving and caring mother to her little brood and in 1967 the family moved from Seattle to a farm in Silvana Washington. Pat became a 4-H leader for the children’s 4-H dairy club and from that grew her love of the dairy industry. She was active in the Snohomish County Dairy Wives and served in many positions for them. She took great joy in chaperoning the dairy ambassadors as they promoted the dairy industry across the state. Pat worked at the Evergreen State Fair Dairy Show alongside her good friend Eileen Kearney for many years. They camped in campers on fair ground and everyone knew” Grandma Pat” She loved cows and kids!
She also enjoyed many past times. Her work with genealogy was something she was very proud of. She created beautiful scrapbooks of all the family’s time on the farm and of her travels on the back of her second husband’s motorcycle. Pat was involved with the Al-Anon Family groups for many years. She was a long-time member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Arlington. She spent her last years at the Olympic Place retirement home where she made a host of friends playing cards and hanging in the “puzzle room”.
She was preceded in death by her a husbands; James and Robert and her beloved daughter; Joan (Steve). She is survived by her children; James, Maryanne (Steve), Patrick (Twyla), Jean (Glenn), Timothy, and Robert, 16 grandchildren and 17 great children.
An interment will take place Thursday, March 19th, at 1pm at The Little White Church on the Hill in Silvana, WA.
