Phillip A. Funk

Phillip A. Funk of Petersburg, Alaska passed away peaceably October 29, 2018. He was born February 12, 1927 to Phillip C. and Ann Funk in Everett. WA. He is a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked as a carpenter in the Everett area. He built a 54 ft. steel boat in his spare time. He fished out of Neah Bay when young & later fished for 15 years in Alaska on the boat he built. He is survived by Adelyn, his loving wife of 59 years. Sons Phillip W. “Skip” (Donna), John (Joanna), Wayne (Deborah), daughters Barbara “Bobbi” (Bob) & Elaine Swanson-Hicks. Thirteen grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great granddaughters. Private services were held in Arlington, WA.

Phil and Adelyn are so special to us. Phil and his friend/co-worker Vern built their boats on our grandparents' property. It was an amazing process! We enjoyed the fish they sent back from Alaska and the visits from time to time. Our thoughts are with you now.
