

Richard Sargeant Henry, 91, of Stanwood, Washington went to be with the Lord Jesus on June 21, 2014 at the Warm Beach Health Care Center. He was born to Norman S. and Marjorie E. Henry on May 18, 1923 in Milford, Massachusetts.
Richard graduated from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts and served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII. On September 8, 1951, he was married to Ann Potter of Foxboro, MA. Three children were born to them while living in Hopedale, MA. During this time he attended and graduated from Bentley School of Accounting in Boston, MA. He had a full career as a CPA working for various businesses and CPA firms. He concluded his career in the role of Business Administrator at the national headquarters of the Baptist General Conference in Illinois. He retired in 1986 to Camano Island, WA. He used his leadership skills throughout his life serving on many committees and boards.
Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis and great-granddaughter, Emily Grace. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ann of Stanwood; son, John of Stanwood, daughters Nancy (Stephen) Pike of Nanton, Alberta and Marjorie (Daniel) Keane of Stanwood; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; his sister, Muriel Tinkham of Newport, NH and brother Charles Henry of Washington, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 3 p.m. at the Warm Beach Free Methodist Church in Stanwood, WA. Memorial donations can be made to Warm Beach Senior Community or to Warm Beach Camp.
