

Sandra Burgard passed away peacefully in her home January 9th after a 2 year fight against cancer. Sandy was born in Jamestown, North Dakota where she lived until 1993. While in Jamestown, Sandy worked for Penny's Department Store and United Technologies Corp. (formerly Western Gear). In 1993, Sandy moved to Everett, Washington and began working at B.F. Goodrich Aerospace where she worked until 2004. In 2004, Sandy was hired at Angel of The Winds Casino as an Executive Assistant to the General Manager and Directors, a job she truly loved. Sandy enjoyed doing just about everything including camping, traveling, taking vacations to Hawaii, going anywhere on their Harley Davidson (especially to Virginia City, Nevada), and going to various car shows with their 1940 Chevy. Sandy was a true friend and will be missed by everyone that knew her. Sandy is survived by her best friend and Husband, Jim Doyle, Arlington WA, Sister Julie Andersen, Bothell WA Brother Howard Stone, Everett WA and Brother Craig Stone, Camano Island WA along with Nieces Shannon Andersen, Bothell WA, Melissa Stone, Bellingham WA and Nephew Eric Stone, Camano Island. Sandy is also survived one Grandchild, Lovely Faulkner, Fairbanks, AK to whom she was affectionately known as "Gamma Sandy". Sandy was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Donna Stone, her Son, Chad and her Niece, Devin. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses of Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, Seattle (especially Dr. Heidi Gray and her team) and the staff of Providence Hospital, Everett WA. A special thank you goes out to all of the wonderful people that Sandy worked with at Angel of The Winds Casino, especially Travis, Jim, Eric, Jeff Brent, Penny, Jennifer and Natalie. Throughout the last 2 years you were not only the people Sandy worked for, but a true friend to her, a friendship she truly cherished.
A viewing will be held January 16, 2015, 1:00-8:00 p.m. at Weller Funeral Home, 327 N. MacLeod Ave., Arlington, WA 98223. A funeral service will be held January 17, 2015, 1:00 p.m. at Weller Funeral Home.
