Stewart “Chip” Charles Payne, 57, passed away January 31, 2014 in Arlington, WA. He was born to Edward and Sally Payne July 30, 1956 in Edmonds, WA. Chip graduated from Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood, WA and then served in the U.S. Army. Chip then became a reserve Snohomish County Deputy, going on to a 30 year service as a Deputy at the time of his passing. Other than his family, the Sheriff’s Department was his life and passion. He also enjoyed shooting and watching movies. Chip was an excellent teacher, loving father and grandfather. Preceding him in death was his mother Sally. Chip is survived by his loving wife Deborah Payne; father, Edward (Elanor) Payne of Federal Way, WA; daughters, Stephanie (Daniel) Stites of Arlington, Heather Payne of Arlington, Jessica Payne of Everett, WA; brothers, Jeff (Loy) Payne of Lynnwood, David (Michelle) Payne of Lynnwood; sister, Wendy Payne of Tacoma, WA and grandson Asher Payne.
