Virginia Annette Hauf

March 11, 1958May 19, 2018

Virginia’s life began March 11, 1958 in St. Joseph, Michigan. She grew up in Watervliet, MI where she graduated high school in 1976. Virginia worked most of her adult life as a caregiver with her Mom and Stepdad at Park Rd. Adult Foster Care in Coloma, MI. A dedicated Mother, sister and friend to many, Virginia dedicated her life to helping others who sought information on alternative and complementary treatments to combat cancer and other life threatening diseases. She was affiliated with many nutritional and wellness therapy organizations across the nation and into neighboring countries. This heartfelt passion fulfilled Virginia’s life with happiness, especially when she heard about successes from the people that she helped. She always kept her promise to God and never once took monetary gifts from those she helped. Virginia enjoyed attending Catholic Mass, socializing and volunteering at the Northshore Senior Center in Bothell, WA, gardening, cooking for her family & friends, dining at Red Robin, reading, and the challenge of solving crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy was spending time with her loving family which includes; her son Stephen Barrow, Jr. (Patricia), her dad John Hauf, sisters Vicky (Robert) Wagner, Delores Hauf, Lori (Scott) Kaiser, Amy (Mike) Schaub and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Virginia passed peacefully on Saturday, May 19, surrounded by her close friends Jodi & Otha while in the comfort of her home in Kent, WA. Her mom, Vicky Hartman, stepfather Donald Hartman, sister Jeanette Haldy, and Aunt Delores Gaynor precede Virginia in death. A private cremation ceremony will be led by Weller Funeral Home in Arlington, WA and a Celebration of Life for Virginia will be held at a future 2018 date in Southwest Michigan. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the family to help with Virginia’s final expenses @ You are invited to leave a message of comfort for Virginia’s family at Be sure to click on “receive notifications / updates” if you plan on attending Virginia’s Memorial.
