Dolores "Dodie" A. Engel, 85, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017. Daughter of the late Henry Luke and Alma Mary Dierkes (nee Hartlieb). Beloved wife of sixty-six years to Arthur A. Engel, Jr. Loving mother of Terry (Glenn) Praechter, Steve Engel and Penni (John) May. Sister of Jeanette Lipina and the late Robert Dierkes. Adoring grandma to William H. Cook IV, Kevin (Felicia) M. Cook, Cory Prindiville, Jeffery (Kara) P. Praechter, Kelly (Thomas) M. Boden, Danielle (Scott) Singleton, Ryan (Sarah) Boyer, Holly Boyer, Travis Praechter and great grandma to Jacob Boden, Ethan Boden, Tyler Singleton, Paityn Singleton and Barret Boyer; dear aunt and friend to many..

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2017, 2:00-6:00pm, Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, Mo. The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Monday, January 9, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial is private.
