Elizabeth M. "Betty" Zanzie

Elizabeth M. "Betty" Zanzie of Arnold, MO passed away on Wednesday March 11, 2026. She was born on August 13, 1929 in Lincoln, IL to the late Charles and Emma (nee Michaelis) Baker; beloved wife of the late Aloys "Jack" Altnether and the late Arthur Zanzie; loving mother of Diane Bangert and the late William Altnether; loving grandmother of Lisa (Paul) Meyer, Kelli (Czarrok) Fitzpatrick, Nathan (Carla) Altnether, Deanna (Robert) Owens, Jacob (Jen) Bangert and Michelle Bangert: great grandmother of Klaus Meyer, Chloe Fitzpatrick, Madelyn Fitzpatrick, Hannah Zeiss and Zachary Bangert; dear friend to many.

Betty was a member of the St. Marks United Church of Christ and the Quilters Guild, Sappington Concord Historical Society, Kimmswick Historical Society where she peeled apples for the Apple Butter Festival and the Arnold VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Visitation will be held at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO 63010, US, on March 18, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.
