Frances M. Klie (nee Macon) 89 of Hillsboro Missouri passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 2, 2026. She was born in Dayton, Texas on January 17, 1937 to Lula Mae and James Lee Macon. She married Kermit Klie Jr. in San Antonio, Texas and moved to Missouri after her wedding. She was known to most people as Fran. She was a wonderful person who always had time and a listening ear for her family and friends. They were such an important part of her life. She is survived by her two daughters Tammie (Jerry) Riddle of Hillsboro, Missouri and Sheri (Tim) May of Bonne Terre, Missouri. God blessed her with five grandchildren Julianne Christopher (Tye Edwards), Olivia (Jordan) Wallen, Michelle (Jonathan) Krah, Lucian May and Luke (Tori) May. She was so proud of each one of them. She was also blessed with eight great grandchildren; Haisley, Hudson, Hadley and Henry Wallen, Ryker and Lane May and Oliver and Myles Krah. She is survived by a dear friend Carol Braun. She also is survived by nieces and a nephew and several cousins.
Fran was preceded in death by her parents; James Lee and Lula Mae Macon; two brothers, Marion (Mildred) Macon and Robert (survived by Bonnie) Macon; nephew, Ken (survived by Mitzi) Macon; her daughter's father, Kermit Klie, Jr.; and her companion of 12 years, Ed Preusser.
Visitation will be held at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO 63010, US, on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and again on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 1:30 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm. Interment Peaceful Meadows Cemetery, Hillsboro, MO.
