

Mildred Glore, longtime resident of Jefferson County and one of five sisters who were teachers or nurses during their careers, died June 25, 2015, at Delmar Gardens in St. Louis County. She was 96 and would have become 97 on July 22, 1915.
The daughter of Claude and Eunice Gilliam Williamson was born in Leadwood, Missouri. She graduated from Leadwood High School in 1937, attended community college and a teaching proficiency test and began to teach public school students . Initially, she rode to and from the one-room schoolhouse on horseback.
Mildred married her high school sweetheart, Russell T. Glore, in 1937. He preceded his wife in death in December, 1981. After marriage, she became a
homemaker and mother of three, the late Carolyn (Eric) Kimmel and Rebecca (Bennett) Henkey, and a son, Daniel (Marilyn) Glore, who survive.
Also surviving are four grand-children, Thomas (Megan) Henkey, Kristin (Mike) Roberts, Jamie (Kevin) McCarthy, and Tara Glore, and two great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Brooke Roberts.
Mrs. Glore, was the preceded in death by four of the Williamson sisters,
Mary (Roland) Fatchett, Gladys (Ivan) Woods, Alberta Bay and Kathryn (James) Rearden.
Fondly known as "Nana" by her family and many friends during her later life, she is also survived by 14 beloved nieces and nephews.
Heiligtag-Lang- Fender Funeral Home 1081 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, Missouri, has the arrangements. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today (Friday) and from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral services on Saturday 6-25-2015. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at the Leadwood, Missouri cemetery
