James D. Kraus

James Dale 'Jim' Kraus,73, formerly of Festus, died March 30, at Mercy South in St. Louis,

He was born September 25, 1948, in St. Louis, son of the late Victor Kraus and Alice (Klable) Kraus.

He is survived by two children:Joseph Kraus and Amelia (Tyler) Stewart, both of whom reside in the state of

Washington. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Maliyah and Sophia Kraus; and three siblings: Norman Kraus, Sharon Kraus and Kevin (Susan) Kraus, all of the St. Louis area.

He was preceded in death by a nephew, Jason Kraus.

Our dear uncle, cousin and friend to many, James served this country in the United States Army for twenty

years, including missions in Vietnam and Korea.

Visitation is April 6, from 10-11- a.m., at St. Luke's United Church of Christ, 6610 St. Luke's Church Road in Antonia. Burial will follow, with full military honors, in the church's Burgess Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church; or the Wounded Warrior Project.
