Jim lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service. He was the beloved husband of Mary, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship. He was the proud father of Edward, who preceded him in death, Randall, and Kelly - each of whom he cherished deeply. His greatest joy was his grandchildren: Brandon, Tanner, Kaisy, Zachary, Emma, Eliza, Madelyn, Charlotte, and Adeline, whom he adored and loved unconditionally.
A man of strong values and unwavering patriotism, Jim served his country with honor in the United States Air Force where he retired after 26 years at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. His commitment to his nation was matched only by his love for the outdoors. He found peace in the thrill of the hunt and had a deep passion for firearms, a passion he shared with those friends closest to him.
Jim will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and friends, his dedication to his country, and his strong, steadfast spirit. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
A service to honor James’s life will be held on February 22, 2025 at 1pm at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a veterans’ charity of their choice in his memory.
