Dad Brockmeyer – I remember like it was just yesterday, meeting you for the first time.  It was at Barkley Lake in 1978 and I was just 16 years old.  You had just returned from a successful fishing trip on the lake and you had a “cat that ate a canary” grin on your face.  I loved it and will always remember that wonderful smile of yours!  You welcomed me into your family, your home, and your heart.  Now, 34 years later, I've enjoyed celebrating weddings, anniversaries, vacations, and holidays with you and the family.  What fabulous times!  The twinkle in your eye shines through every one of your children.  There's no question that you are smiling down on all of us now.  I know, without a doubt, that you are catching lots of fish in heaven and having a most wonderful time. 
And I wish for you, at the end of every day as the sun sets, that you see a girl changing clothes in a tent by a flashlight!  You will always be my “St. Louis Dad”.  I love you.

Where to begin...If there was ever a man who walked with the Lord it was Dad.  I have no doubt he is fighting for our salvation at this moment, for that is who he is, always thinking of others.  He worked hard to provide for his family making sure they could take that much needed vacation, fishing or hunting trip.  I can still hear him saying, "That's food on the table!" as he was holding the one that did not get away.  (Funny, I never have that much fun at the grocery store!)  

He welcomed me into the Brockmeyer family, as he did so many, at a time when I needed saving.  I am so blessed to have him as my Godfather and would not be the person I am today if it were not for Dad (and Mom) Brockmeyer.  I wish I had listend to and taken more of your advice Dad.  I miss you so much already, so please save a space for me and we will have eternity to catch up!

We're so glad to have met you when visiting Laura in CA.  Glenn will always remember his conversation with Jerry at the basketball court.  Don't worry, we'll take good care of Laura and Pete out West!  God Bless you all during this time of sadness.  Susan Bejsovec

Sonny was truly a good friend and very special to us.  It proves that a close relative can be more than just a cousin.  We will always treasure the good times we have shared with him, Dorothy, and their family.  His love and concern even in our young growing up years are special.

You have been a dad to me since I was a little girl. You became my dad when I married your son. There are so many things you taught me and I will never forget. I thank you for raising such an awesome family, especially Kenny. Because of you and Mom, I have the greatest husband and we made two wonderful grandsons for you. I will be lost without your teasing me. However, I will really miss the compliments you always gave me on my dinners! 

I love you like my own dad, I already miss you terribly and the future will be so different without you here. I promise to keep going, keep laughing and especially to keep off of ladders like you told me.
