Joseph F. Barfield

Joseph F. Barfield, passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 82. He was a resident of Saint Charles, Missouri. He was born on December 6, 1943 in St. Louis, MO to the late John Franklin and Lenna Ellen (nee House) Barfield; beloved husband of the late Erika Barfield (nee Koch); loving father of Sylvia Barfield and the late Joe Barfield; dear brother of Donna Lavely (Barfield), Lavaunda Carlton (Barfield) and the late Clarence Chronister and Dorothy Brown (Chronister); dear uncle and friend to many.

Joseph served in the United States Army and had three tours of duty in Vietnam as a Soldier and Helicopter Pilot. He was awarded Air Medal, National Defense Service Medal, RVN Campaign Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Vietnam Service Medal with 10 Campaign Stars, Army Aviator Badge, Good Conduct Medal, 6 Overseas Service Bars and the Meritorious Service Medal.

Visitation will be held on December 19, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, located at 1081 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO 63010.

The funeral service will follow at the same location on December 19, 2025, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am.

A committal service will take place on December 19, 2025, from 11:30 am to 11:45 am at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, located at 2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125.
