Paul E Rodenroth passed away on Friday December 20, 2024 at the age of 91. Paul was born in St. Louis Missouri on December 23, 1932. to the late Walter and Marieann Rodenroth (nee Ulrich); beloved husband of 70 years to DonaClaire Rodenroth (nee Deems); loving father of Linda Kay (Terrence) Marler, Lisa Jean (Steven) Rost and Michael Paul (Marie) Rodenroth; dearest grandfather of Kristina (Timothy) Reimler, Courtney (Jameson) Barrow, Zachary (Haley) Rost, Jessica (Matt) Martin and Jordan Rodenroth; cherished great grandfather of Lucas Reimler, Dechlan Barrow, Hunter Rost, Adelaide Barrow and Kaydee Rost; dear brother of Robert D. (the late Lillian) Rodenroth and Ronald T. (Linda) Rodenroth; dear brother-in-law of Randy (the late Kathy) Crumbley and Sharon (the late Donald) Deems. Paul will leave to cherish his memory all his nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and his many friends. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He moved to Fenton, Missouri at the age of 4 and graduated from Affton High School in 1951. He graduated from St. Louis College of Pharmacy after returning from a Korean hitch in the Army from 1952 to 1954. Spent the first 20 years as a Pharmacist and then retired at the age of 62 after working as an Electrician for Arnold / Metropolitan Electric for 15 years. Paul assisted in wiring the new sanctuary 40 years ago.
Attained his private pilot’s license and enjoyed flying tremendously when he could.
He enjoyed shooting with St Louis Small Bore 22 Rifle Association and came home with several trophies including being the St. Louis City Champion for 5 years in a row.
Traveled to both United States coasts on their motorcycle with Dona and Ollie and Shirley Fogelbach. They traveled for 25 years with the Christian Motorcycle Association. While traveling with CMA, he and Dona were on the Million Man March to DC and were involved with Prison Ministries all over the Bi-State Area.
He was an active member of First Baptist Church Arnold for over 50 years. He voluntarily ran the sound ministry along with Jim Bone for 15 years. Paul and Dona cooked Tuesday morning breakfast in the Family Life Center for 5 years. They served for 5 years with the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Team and traveled with Focus on Mission to Mexico with Steve and Judy Smith.
He also served on the Board of Adjustment for the city of Arnold for several years.
He especially enjoyed Kentucky Lake. They personally built on the property originally purchased with Ollie and Shirley Fogelbach. Paul and Dona enjoyed sharing the property and lake with many friends and family.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 9:30 AM until time of Memorial Service at 11 AM, 1st Baptist church of Arnold 2012 Missouri State Rd, Arnold, MO 63010. Paul will be inurned at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to 1St Baptist Church of Arnold in Paul’s honor appreciated.
