Born June 9, 1937, Ray was an electrical contractor and a homebuilder. He could build anything, fix anything, and master anything he attempted. He enjoyed the outdoors, bowling, model railroading and, more than anything else, time with his family and friends. He was a devout Christian with an unshakable faith.
Ray is survived by his son Jeff (Nancy), his granddaughters Macie, Lydia and Sophie, his dear sister Mary Alberts, and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Linda (nee Toombs) Roorda, his beloved son Tim, and his parents, Charles and Hilda (nee Till).
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a funeral service Tuesday at 11 a.m., both at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler funeral home in Arnold. Flowers are welcomed but in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ray’s favorite charity, St. Judes.
The committal service will follow at Shepherd Hills Cemetery, Barnhart, MO 63012, on December 30, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 12:15 pm.
