WELLS, Richard R., 72 of Imperial, MO, passed peacefully at home on May 16, 2012. Loving husband of Gail Wells (nee Patterson); beloved father of Michael A. (Michele) Wells and Steven E. (Jennifer) Wells; dear grandfather of Logan, Megan, Ashton, and Brayden Wells; beloved brother of Pat (Frank) Brown; brother-in-law of Linda (Tom) Murry; dear uncle, cousin and friend.
Richard had a zest for life and enjoyed having fun. He played football for two Illinois State Champion football teams at East St. Louis High School. He also played football for Purdue University. He was a city truck driver for ABF and ETMF truck lines. Besides enjoying football, he was a Cardinal Baseball fan. He loved to golf and fish. Most of all he loved being with family and friends.
Visitation 2-3 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, MO, with a memorial service following at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
