1969 – 2020
“When you miss me, look up at the night sky and remember, I am like a star now; even when you cannot see me, I am still there watching over you.”
Shana Lee Wilkinson-Andren, a native of Florissant, Missouri, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2020, at the age of 51. Shana is survived by her parents, Roger Wilkinson and Barbara Landry Wilkinson, and her brother, Ron Wilkinson. She was also loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Shana is preceded in death by her grandparents, Leslie and Annalee Landry, and Bryan and Etelka Wilkinson.
Shana was gifted with a beautiful voice. She loved music her entire life. At age 3, she would stand on her little red rocker singing “Ruby Red Dress” by Helen Reddy while rocking back and forth to the beat. She also sang in the school choir, and her favorite artists were Neil Diamond, Prince and The Rolling Stones. Shana had a big heart and was born with a deep compassion and love for animals, especially cats. She was known for giving her pets cute nicknames, like “Too Many Toes Toots” for her cat with 6 toes on his paw. Shana also had a talent for creative writing. When her grandmother passed away, Shana wrote a heartfelt poem reminiscent of her cherished childhood memories for the eulogy entitled “Ode to Annalee” which touched the hearts of everyone in attendance. She enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows on tv. Her smile was warm and her laugh contagious. The end of Shana’s journey has left a void in our lives which will never be filled; she will forever remain in our hearts.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date to honor Shana’s memory. Family and friends are encouraged and invited to sign the online guestbook at www.heiligtagfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Shana’s memory to The Humane Society of the United States. (http://action.humanesociety.org/site/TR?px=14858853&pg=personal&fr_id=1175)
