Uncle Ted ,  You have always been a special Uncle , I will miss you coming in for lunch at Red Lobster with Aunt Farajean .... Until I see you again R.I.P .   Love ya Uncle Ted !!!!

Such a loving tribute you wrote to your dear grandfather. The important lessons and fine examples of our Grandfathers leave a deep imprint on our hearts.  We can see your grandfathers kindness, thoughtfulness, dedicated work ethic and generous spirit in you. He certainly shared meaningful life lessons with you because they show.  We share our deepest sympathy as we continue to hold you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

When I think of Grandpa Ted, I think of lots of things:
-How proud he was of his family
-If you saw Grandpa, you always left with a gift...some type of trinket he had collected along his way with the sole purpose of having it to giveaway
-Countless stories from his 50+ years and millions of miles of professional truck driving; they don't make drivers like that anymore
-Donuts, especially the chocolate covered ones
-Pepsi
-"Good" junk food...and Pancho's Mexican
-Free ball caps, calendars, and pens...all of which he was an endless collector of...mostly so he could share his finds with his family and friends
-Slot Machines and the tales of winning
-Horse trading for guns or pick ups
-Lots of non-politically correct comments that were always colorful and funny.....even if that wasn't his intent 
-Multiple tattoos from long ago that he was always willing to retell the story about 

I could go on and on about the unique things I'll always remember about Grandpa Ted, but most of all I'll never forget how he always made me feel special. Grandpa always took the time to be friendly, welcoming, and genuinely interested. Even as his health declined and his memory faded, this never changed- I heard and saw this even at the nursing home with the staff. When I had the opportunity to move to St Louis a decade ago, I never would have imagined the blessing it would be to live close to Grandpa and Grandma and I'll be forever grateful for all of those additional memories.

Grandpa, you made my childhood unforgettable. I love you.

I can't put into words how much I'm going to miss you. You were such an amazing Dad, Grandpa, and Great Grandpa. 

A piece of my heart will always be missing. 

I will cherish every memory, remember everything you've taught me, and carry you in my heart forever. 

I love you PawPaw Ted. Forever and ever. 

We're going to miss Uncle Ted's pop-in visits, sometimes too early in the morning, but he'd bring us a donut so we always let him in.  He'd tell us it was time to get up anyway.
He loved bringing Bud those girly calendars from the car dealers and Bud loved getting them.  
I'll miss smiling to myself while he and Bud sat across from each other at our kitchen table talking and nodding their heads when neither of them could hear the other one most of the time because they were both too stubborn to wear their hearing aids.  I always wondered what they talked about when Bud would walk him to his truck when he was leaving.   It must have been something about their wives because Bud always came back inside laughing.
I'll miss hearing his stories about winning money on the penny slot machines.  I love Farajean for always going with him just so she could spend time with him even though she didn't really care for the slot machines as much as he did.  
We love you Uncle Ted and we'll miss you.    

Dad, you were the best dad in the world. Everyone adored you.I am truly going to miss you because I'm not ready to let go. You can now be with Tami . Please tell her that I miss her also. Till we meet again. I love you ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

The ones we love are always taken too soon, because we always want "more time" with them.  But, Ted was ready to "go home", and that he did.  Forever loved, he will be sorely missed, amd yet we all rejoice that he is now free from pain and the confusion he was experiencing.  May God comfort us and grant us His peace  as we grieve.
