Ginny was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, sister, and friend. She will be remembered for her love of family, generous spirit, and the kindness and care she shared with those around her.
For more than 25 years, Ginny faithfully devoted her time and service to the bingo kitchen at Holy Family Parish in Cahokia, Illinois. Her dedication to the parish community touched many lives and created lasting friendships.
Some of Ginny’s favorite moments were spent proudly watching her son and grandchildren play sports. She treasured being there to cheer them on and celebrate the moments they shared together.
Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy Milward, and her brother, Timothy Milward.
Ginny is survived by her loving husband, Michael Kersting Sr.; her son, Tony Kersting and his wife, Kelsey; her sister, Nancy Milward; and her stepchildren, Michael Kersting Jr., Kenneth Kersting and his wife, Amanda, and Andrew Kersting and his wife, Savannah and Elizabeth Krongard and her husband, Jay.
She was a proud grandma to Bayley and Cooper Kersting and a loving step-grandma to Joshua, Payton, Mikayla, CPL USMC Tristan, Jacob, Gwen, Kyson, and Rebecca. Ginny’s devotion to her family, parish community, and friends, along with the love she gave so freely, will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
