

Scott, Virginia M. "Jenny" (nee Stewart) 78, of Ellington, Missouri, died on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Jenny was born April 8, 1933 in Reynolds County Missouri. Beloved daughter of the late James W. and Bessie (Dace) Stewart. Loving wife of the late Robert O. Scott.
She is survived by care providers Kevin and Judy Rains, Aaron and Sherrie Chitwood, Daniel and Liz Fox, Dessie Pratt and siblings Dorothy Burns, of Herculaneum, MO, Lois Dinkins of Springfield, MO and James (Rosella) Stewart of Springfield, MO and a host of nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her siblings Sadie Ellis, Marie Fitzgerald, Muriel Stewart, Will Mae Decker and five nephews.
Jenny retired from the City of St. Louis after 27 years of service in Vital Statistics, Communication Media and Supply Service, and the Department of Personnel.
Virginia was a member of the Lone Cedar United Baptist Church where she served as Church Clerk, Pianist and Secretary for 20 years of the Lone Cedar United Baptist Ladies Circle. She was an Alderman for the City of Ellington for 4 years, served 2 years as president of the Ellington Alumni Banquet, belonged to Reynolds County Hospital Auxiliary and was active in many things. Her hobbies were playing piano, singing, going to church, and attending the United Baptist Association in various States, traveling, camping, but most of all helping others in need. And will be greatly remembered and missed.
The funeral will be held at Lone Cedar United Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Sunday, March 11, 2012, with Pastor Dennis Burns and Elder Garry Mathes officiating. Connie Hawkins will be the organist. Pallbearers are Kevin Rains, Daniel Fox Rick Clayton, Terry Hawkins, Bruce Blake and Glen Green. Burial will take place in Ellington Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, Arnold, MO.
