Rev. William Howard Hodge Jr.

Rev. William Howard Hodge, Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. Son of the late William Howard and Gladys Leietta (nee Sichling) Hodge, Sr. Beloved father of William (Jacqueline) Howard Hodge III and Sarah Leietta Haggard. Brother of David (Karen) A. Hodge and Glenna L (Randy) Faulkner, and the late Betty Jo Hodge. Adoring grandfather of Keith Allen Haggard, Jr., Cailey Jean Haggard and Isabelle Faith Hodge.

Rev. Hodge, was a 1963 graduate of Fox High School and a 1976 graduate of Missouri Baptist College. He was ordained on December 7, 1967 at First Baptist Church, Redford, Mo where he served as a pastor. He next served as pastor of First Baptist Church, Bismarck, Mo, He then served as pastor of Carondelet Baptist Church, St. Louis, Mo., He served as pastor of Jefferson Heights Baptist Church, Imperial, Mo., and next served as pastor of Sandy Baptist Church, Hillsboro, Mo. He then pastored Morganford Baptist Mission, St. Louis, Mo. He taught at Tower Grove Christian School, St. Louis, Mo. from the fall of 1986 to the fall of 2007.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017, from 4:00-8:00 pm at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, Mo. 63010. The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will immediately follow at St. Matthews Cemetery, 4360 Bates, St Louis, Mo. 63116. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be sent in their father's name to Galatia Baptist Church, Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, 108 E. Church Street, Galatia, Illinois 62935.
