Born in Battle Creek, Michigan. Bill attended Millionton Central High school and later studied at Webster University. After serving in the United States Air Force, William devoted his life as an Language Arts teacher for the Middle School in the Northwest R-1 school district for over 25 years.
In 1988 William married his best friend Frances Wilson. They enjoyed a wonderful life together and traveled around the world.
In 2001 Bill was diagnosed with dementia. He spent his last years in the loving care of his wife and family in the comfort of his own home. Bill will be remembered for his many accomplishments. Until his heath condition made it impossible, Bill enjoyed being an active member to multiple clubs including: The Shriners, Masons, Elks, and American Legion.
William was a wonderful man that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished.
Bill leaves behind his wife of over 30 years Frances Wilson, Daughter Shannon Hoffman, son-in-law Donald Hoffman, Grandson Ricky Hoffman, wife Shantell Nash, Grand-daughter Jennifer Jesick, Husband Brad Jesick, Grandson Nate Aubuchon, Grand-daughter Amanda Markus, Husband Rick Markus, and 8 Great Grandchildren.
A visitation for Bill will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO 63010. A service by the Elks Club will be offered at 7:00 PM during the visitation, followed by a Masonic service at 7:30 PM. The funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 11:30 AM in funeral home chapel with military honors to follow. An inurnment will take place later at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
