

Danny Eugene Hyatt, 80, of Ashland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Born on March 24, 1944, to the late David and Thelma (Dibble) Hyatt in Ashland, Danny lived a life full of passion for family, hobbies, and hard work.
Danny had many interests that kept him busy and brought him joy. He loved the thrill of flying remote control helicopters, spending time on the water boating, and casting a line while fishing. He was also a proud racing enthusiast, spending many hours racing late model stock cars. Despite his many hobbies, it was his family that remained at the center of his heart. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones.
A lifelong Cleveland Browns and Ohio State fan, Danny was known for his unwavering support of his teams.
After 40 years of dedicated service, he retired from F.E. Myers, where he had built a solid career and many lifelong friendships.
Danny married Karen Goon on September 10, 1962, and together they shared a beautiful life filled with love and laughter.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Hyatt; children Scott (Lisa) Hyatt, Kevin (Yvette) Hyatt, Daniel Hyatt, Mark (Bobbi) Hyatt, and Stephanie Hyatt; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and siblings Betty and Darrell. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Eva.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, services will be private. Danny’s family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve. Wappner Funeral Directors-Ashland is honored to serve the Hyatt family.
