Hazel Rayne Strait

With shattered hearts, we share the passing of our beloved daughter, Hazel Rayne Strait, who was born into Heaven on Monday, September 22, 2025. Though her due date was expected to be January 28, 2026, Hazel was carried with boundless love by her parents, Hailey Marie Whitesel and Kenneth Gerald Strait Jr.

Hazel’s time with us was far too short, but the love she brought into our lives is immeasurable and everlasting. She will always be a part of our hearts, our family, and our story.

Hazel is deeply loved and remembered by her parents, Hailey Marie Whitesel and Kenneth Gerald Strait Jr.

She is also lovingly survived by her grandparents, Rachel (Brian) Workman, Hope Saffle, and Kenneth Strait Sr.; aunts and uncles, April (Seth) Redmond, Jacob Whitesel, Jordan Whitesel, Aiden Wilkinson, Garrett Strait, Ayla Whitesel, and Skylah Getz; and great-grandparents, Rodger (Charlotte) Whitesel, Danny (Deborah) Strait, Eric (Sharon) Anderson, and Sharon Saffle.

Hazel was preceded in passing by her grandfather, Ernest Whitesel and great-grandfather, Roger Saffle.

Though Hazel never took her first breath in this world, she lives on in the hearts of those who dreamed of her, prayed for her, and loved her beyond measure.
