She was an active member of the VFW in Ashland and the Eagles in both Ashland and Wellington. She had a passion for riding her motorcycle and enjoyed many creative hobbies, including knitting, crocheting, and needlepoint. She also loved crafting, playing bingo, and spending time socializing with friends. Above all, she treasured time with her family, which brought her the greatest joy.
Ruth is survived by her children, Mark Hubler, Lee (Deb) Hubler, and Camille (Mike) Himmel; grandchildren, Renee, Shawn (Tracy), Justin (Carrie), Crystal, Andy (Jen), Kate and Candice; 11 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbur Hubler; son, Randy Hubler, great-granddaughter, Madelyn; great-great-grandson, Kayson; and brother, Larry Steele.
Family and friends are invited to visitation at Harter Family Funeral Home, 308 Claremont Avenue in Ashland on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the funeral will follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will be at Southview Cemetery.
