Stephen Lawrence Salamon

Born on November 5, 1956, in Chicago, IL, Stephen was the son of Richard and Joan (Zimprich) Salamon. Throughout his life, he worked in the printing industry, taking pride in his craft and hard work. On October 8, 1977, he married the love of his life, Sandra Rasmussen, and together they built a life centered around love, family, and shared memories.

Stephen had a passion for woodworking, finding joy in creating with his hands. More than anything, he cherished time spent with his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Stephen is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandra Salamon; his loving children, Tom Salamon and Tim (Erin) Salamon; his cherished grandchildren, Haylee, Sadie, Kason, Carson, Casey, and Cole; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Luna and Violet. He is also survived by his siblings, Mark, Julie, Bob, and Karen.

A local memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Stone Luteran Church 940 County Road 1764, Ashland, OH. A memorial service will also be held in Racine, WI on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Details will follow once confirmed. In honor of Stephen’s memory, contributions may be made to the Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.
